It's the time of year when leaves start to fall, and we spend most of our time indoors. We want to keep the summer sun alive as long as possible, so what can we do? How about making a simple wall hanging with wheat and foam core? This alternative version of a wreath will not only brighten up your space but also remind you that there are still some warm days ahead. This would be an easy last-minute DIY project that will keep the warm summer memories alive all winter long.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Gather supplies.

  2. Paint a foam board using acrylic paint.

  3. When dry, use something round to trace a circle and then cut it out.

  4. Using a ruler, mark the circle halfway down the center, and then cut it into two halves.

  5. Paint the edges of both halves.

  6. Cut the wheat to desired length and hot glue it to the inside of one half, around the edges.
