These cute little guys are perfect for adults who love the outdoors or gardeners, but they are also great for any kid who loves crafting! These Christmas gnome ornaments are so cute and look adorable on a Christmas tree, hung up in the office space during the holiday season, or gifted away.

TO CREATE THIS CHRISTMAS GNOME ORNAMENT, YOU WILL NEED:

Find the Bindle & Brass elements at your local Home Depot or online by clicking the link.

- Bindle & Brass 3” Scented Brooms

- Bindle & Brass White Pampas Grass

- Your favorite Christmas fabric

- 1/4” ribbon or trim

- small felt or fluffy poofs in red or pink

- larger felt or fluffy poofs

- fabric glue

- florist wire

- wire cutters

- scissors

Step 1:

Cut out a trapezoid shape that is about 1/4” larger on all sides than the scented broom. If your kiddos have the knowledge, or you could stitch the edges with a needle and thread or a sewing machine. We used fabric glue at the outer edge of the trapezoid, closed the fabric together, and set it aside to dry.

Step 2:

While the fabric glue is drying, clip the pampas grass at the stem to create a large enough bundle to give good coverage around the 3 inch scented broom. (Side note: you will have enough left to make a beautiful arrangement for your tabletop or multiple Christmas Gnomes to cover your tree) The fluffy side will be down with the whisk of the broom.

Step 3:

Using a three-inch piece of floral wire (zip tie, rubberband, or twist tie could also be used), secure the pampas grass around the banding of the scented broom.

Step 4:

Make sure to hold the band away from the top of the broom clip the pampas grass down to the top of the broom.

Step 5:

Going back to the fabric, make sure that the glue has dried completely, turn the gnome hat right side out.

Step 6:

Cover the top of the broom with the hat and pull the string through the top.

Step 7:

Using the fabric glue, cut a piece of ribbon or trim, and affix it to the base of the gnome hat to adorn.

Step 8:

Place a dab of fabric glue onto one side of the small poof and affix to the pampas grass at the base of the hat for a nose. Then glue the larger poof to the top of the hat.

Fluff, Hang, and Adore!
