Kristen Chalut Shows Us How to Get Ready for Halloween with Simple Touches

We can feel the winds changing! There is a chill in the breeze, which can only mean fall is around the corner. Our new friend, Kristen Chalut, is ready to go for fall when it comes to home decor. And she is a gem for being willing to share some of her decorating ideas with us. They're colorful, cheery, simple, and something we can't wait to try here at Bindle & Brass. So, come along with us as we explore how Kristen decorated her home for fall and Halloween!

Kristen took our porch pumpkins to a whole other level of fun! Who would have thought to place colored lights inside of them? And check out the reel below to see how cool they look as they change colors. Kristen's aesthetic is fun, colorful, and minimal all at the same time, which is why these classic porch accessories worked so well in her space. And to add an element of spooky, she placed a skeleton behind the plant. So now, let's follow her inside as she continues to decorate for the fall and Halloween seasons.

Dried Baby's Breath is one flower that works well for any season! Choose cooler colors for winter, softer colors for spring, vibrant colors for summer, and jeweled tones for fall. Kristen immediately knew how she wanted to incorporate the baby's breath into her decor, already having colorful skull vases on hand. She matched them with the colors of baby's breath to give her shelves a monochromatic yet rainbow look. It seems like the skulls have fluffy hair coming out the top. To carry that look throughout her home, she added baby's breath to an array of vases, books, and stacks of pumpkins. It turned out so charming! Isn't it fun?!

Kristen is your girl to follow if you're looking for some fun and cheery decor for the holidays! She not only gave us new ideas on how to incorporate some of our products but has shown us how to decorate with grace and simplicity. Not everything has to be done over the top!
