Brooke Tanner Shows Us How to Easily Upgrade a Kid's Room Into a Fun Jungle Dream
And we are back for part two with our friend, Brooke Tanner! If you don't remember her previous DIY hallway transformation, you can check it out here. This time, she upgraded her son's nursery into a jungle-themed dream! From removing the board and batten, smoothing out the texture on the walls, installing wallpaper, building bunk beds, and redesigning with furniture and plants, she did it all! We learned from the first project how much of a DIY Queen she was, but Brooke took it to a new level this time. Continue reading to see how her son's nursery transformed into a little boy's playroom paradise!
Walking into the jungle room, you'll first notice two incredible wallpaper patterns. They include palm trees, monstera plants, vines, and if you look close enough, the occasional monkey and other jungle dwellers enliven the walls. Brooke chose the perfect complementary wallpapers! After taking off the board and batten and smoothing out the wall's texture, she covered one of the main walls in one wallpaper and the backdrop of the bunk beds in another. It turned out to be THE statement piece of the room.
And what's a nursery room transformation room without a bed upgrade? Check out this fantastic modern bunk bed they installed for their son! It's made complete by our faux plants scattered throughout to create the feeling of being surrounded by greenery in the jungle. Brooke's choice of palm, rubber tree, and traveler plants from our Greenery Faux Plant Collection was perfect for the warm climate aesthetic. Her son will have many hours of sensory play with his little animals to explore within the trees.
Brooke's son has dreamed of having a jungle room since he was two. She made it happen for him, and we were excited to participate in the process. Now he can play and let his imagination run wild without the mess natural plants bring. Watching this transformation progress and seeing the final result was so fun. Is it okay to be jealous of his jungle room playground and wish we had one of our own? Regardless, we hope you have fun in your new room, Everson!
