DIY Revamped Easter Vase

Peeps have been an Easter icon since around the 40’s when it used to take around 27 hours to make one tray, and special ordering was the only way to obtain them. With the rise of machinery in the 50’s, creation time was reduced to only six minutes a tray and could be distributed across America, making it a holiday symbol. Now that we can all enjoy these darlings, we wanted to upgrade one of our faux tulips to see their happy faces on display this Easter.

To start gather all supplies:

  • The Greenery by Bindle & Brass Pink Tulip

  • Large vase

  • Upcycled plastic or ramekin to lift tulip above vase

  • Two colors of moss

  • Robin’s Eggs or Jelly Beans

  • Peeps-your color choice

  • Optional lazy susan for ease

Find a good crafting space:

  1. Place upcycled plastic in bottom of vase.

  2. Add first color of moss.

  3. Position tulip on top of plastic.

  4. Sprinkle Robin’s Eggs or Jelly Beans around tulip.

  5. Squish peeps in vase so they smile outward.

  6. Finish with second color of moss.

  7. Place in an area to bring Easter cheer.
