You’ve Been Booed!

Halloween is looking a bit different this year but that doesn't mean we can't get into the spooky holiday spirit! One great way to spread some hair-raising cheer and be safe, is by “booing” your friends and neighbors.

What is “Booing?”

“Booing” is a fun tradition that has been around for many years. The concept is simple but the possibilities are endless. “Booing” is surprising your neighbors, friends, family, coworkers, or anyone else with a basket of goodies left on their porch, encouraging them to do the same and pay it forward to their friends!

What do you need?

The first thing you’ll need is a sign explaining what to do next now that the lucky person has been “booed.” Premade signs can be found in stores or check out some crafty free ones here. After that, the possibilities are endless! Start with a basket, bag, box, etc and start filling it! The Home Depot has a great selection of festive and all purpose options.

Have a friend that loves candy corn? Throw it in the basket! Is your next door neighbor a huge movie buff? Make their boo box movie themed. And don’t forget about the family pets! Add some fun toys or a cozy sweater.

The great thing about a Boo box is you get to use your creativity and make your people feel special.

Putting it Together

Spice it Up

A great way to “spice” up your Boo Box is to add some of our Scented Brooms or Pine Cones found at The Home Depot. While there, check out some of our other decor items like Pumpkins on Stems or Oak Leaves to add a Fall touch!

Assemble!

Once you have your items gathered, it’s time to assemble your Boo! Remember to place your Boo card front and center and have fun with it!

Happy Booing!

Booing is a great and easy way to spread some much needed holiday cheer to your friends, family, neighbors, and even local business you love, so the more the booier! Get the family involved and make it your own! And of course tag us in your creations! @BindleandBrass
