Laura Begley Shows Us How to Make Home a Cozy Cottage with Dried Naturals

We want to take a moment to introduce you to our newest friend, Laura Begley! She's a beautiful wife, homeowner, antiquer, DIYer, businesswoman, etc., a jack of all trades. When we came across her Instagram account, we saw she had an eye for picking and decorating using antiques. She sees the beauty in once-forgotten items. We immediately knew she'd be the perfect partner to show us how to incorporate our dried naturals in a vintage cottage style. Laura was a dream to work with; she came up with many unique ideas and delivered an inspiring display. We're motivated to redo our dining room, and we hope you experience a similar creative rush after watching what Laura has to show us!

One room in Laura's home that drew our attention was her dining room. She switches out her dining table centerpiece for every changing season. In the past, she has decorated with fresh florals for spring, holiday greenery for Christmas, gourds for the fall season, and American flags for Memorial Day. Her ideas are endless and flawless. The decor she's used has been primarily antique treasures paired with an assortment of dried and fresh naturals. So, we got excited when she expressed interest in designing with our Dried Lavender, Dried White Baby's Breath, and Dried Willow Eucalyptus! It was sure to be a beautiful centerpiece.

The results speak for themselves! People often display our dried naturals on their own. Laura thought out of the box and mixed them in a vintage woven basket. She nicely draped them over the edge of the basket as if she had just picked them from the garden and brought them in to enjoy the fragrance.

Laura's dining room has a corner shelf full of antique treasures and floral arrangements. Along with her dining table centerpiece, she changes the shelf's decor according to the season. She always manages to have the perfect balance of scenery, giving your eyes something new to notice every time you look at it. Laura repurposed a pitcher into a vase to hold our dried lavender and baby's breath. The pitcher is stacked between two shelves of greenery, giving it a break from the vibrant colors with the soft lavender color.

To finish, Laura used her accordion coat rack to display a few of her antique goodies, the baby's breath, and lavender in a nontraditional way. Again recreating the feeling as if she had spent the afternoon outdoors gardening. Her cottage aesthetic is undeniably beautiful, making us want to redecorate every room in the house. Check out all of Laura's unique home and decor inspiration on her Instagram and TikTok. You will not be disappointed!
