How to Make a Festive Christmas Angel Out of an Ordinary Cinnamon Broom

We're approaching that time of year again! Time to get out the Christmas decorations and deck the halls. Angels are some of the most popular Christmas decorations. They're often seen as messengers of hope and goodwill, representing the best of what the holiday season has to offer. This year, ditch the store-bought angel topper and make your own! You can create a beautiful, unique, fragrant topper for your Christmas tree with just a few items. Keep reading for the step-by-step instructions.

What You'll Need:

Step One: Cut the handle off the cinnamon-scented broom. The whisk will create the angel's dress.

Step Two: Start at the bottom of your paper towel roll, secure your twinkle lights with tape, and wrap around until you reach the top of the roll connecting with another piece of tape.

Step Three: Using adhesive glue or a hot glue gun, place a bead of glue around the top of the paper towel roll. Find the middle of the whisk, and glue the roll into the center, creating a place your treetop can nestle into.

Step Four: To create the angel's head, string floral wire through the ornament hanger, then press the two ends through the top of the whisk. Tying them off below the banding. Top the angelic head by placing glue within the ring and securing it to the top of the ornament.

Step Five: Cut eight pieces of pampas grass, each about 6 inches long. These will be the angel's wings.

Step Six: Weave the pampas stems through the whisk of the broom between the two bindings. Place glue to secure and cover with ribbon or buttons, like we did here.

And that's it! You've created your very own angel to watch over your home this holiday season. Your tree will thank you for it! So why not give it a try?
