Fall Pocket Boutonniere DIY

A floral boutonniere that you pin to your suit jacket is great, but why not kick your style up a notch and try something a little different? A floral pocket boutonniere is the way to go if you want to try something new for your prom, homecoming, or wedding look. And it’s just as easy to make as a normal boutonniere! This fall pocket boutonniere is perfect with its neutral and warm-toned dried naturals. That means you don’t have to worry about the flowers dying before your big day.

TO CRAFT THIS POCKET BOUTONNIERE, YOU WILL NEED 

  • Bindle & Brass Potpourri

  • Bindle & Brass Dried Red Wheat

  • dried floral buttons

  • cardboard

  • packing tape

  • scissors

  • ribbon

  • hot glue gun

DIRECTIONS 

  1. Measure and cut cardboard to fit coat pocket.

  2. Select desired potpourri pieces.

  3. Cut wheat and loosely arrange on cardboard.

  4. Cut floral buttons and position below wheat.

  5. Glue dried naturals in desired arrangement to cardboard, leaving room to tuck cardboard into the pocket.

  6. Tape stems to secure the arrangement further.

  7. Glue and wrap ribbon around cardboard for aesthetic quality.

  8. Tuck in your jacket pocket and enjoy the look and scent of your crafted piece.
